The Royse City High School Band is holding a fundraiser event this Saturday, Feb. 4 at Royse City Gold and Silver.
Everyone is welcome to bring their unwanted gold and silver to the shop to exchange for instant cash. 10% of all proceeds will go to the Royse City band to help buy a new truck. The Royse City band is in dire need of a new and larger box truck to transport instruments to and from events. Currently the band is using a small truck that barely fits their needs and constantly breaks down. Next year there will be around 30 new freshmen entering band; they will need to carry the extra large instruments to football games and competitions. The band needs everyone's support to help raise $20k for a new truck so our kids can stay competitive. This year a few schools stopped their bands from going to away games as budgets were cut; we would hate to see our kids suffer the same fate.
