The 21st Annual Rockwall Open golf tournament will be held Friday, June 28 at The Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club (formerly The Shores Country Club).

NOW is the time to reserve your spot. There will be one shotgun start at 1:00 pm this year, with practice balls 30 minutes prior to tee time. The box lunch will be available at 12 noon. The tournament will be a Florida Scramble format. According to Chamber President Dana Macalik, "The 4-person scramble format makes the tournament fun, even for those of us who are far from being good at the game. "In addition," she said, "There will be a chance to win a car from Lakeside Chevrolet".

We added something new and very fun last year, a pre-tournament dinner and par-tee with entertainment provided by The Rub on the evening before the tournament. There will also be some great raffle and auction items to bid on that evening.

The Chamber would like to thank our title sponsor, The Timpa Law Office as well as our other sponsors American National Bank, AT&T, City Bank, Farmers Electric Cooperative, Lake Pointe Medical Center, Lakeside Chevrolet and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall.

I-30, between Discount Tire and Lake Pointe Church.

The entry fee for individuals is $150 and it is $550 for a foursome, which includes the pre-tournament dinner/par-tee, green fees, carts, range balls, goody bags and lunch. There are several Eagle sponsorship opportunities still available for $825.00. This sponsorship includes a foursome and signage for your company on one hole. Call Paula if you would like to discuss one of these sponsorships. Also, if you would like to donate 144 small items to put in the goody bags or an auction item, please contact the chamber office. Items should be relevant to golf/golfer.

This is definitely going to be a fun filled event - participation is limited and has already started filling up, so please register early as we had to turn people away last year. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this event, please call Paula. We hope you will come join other chamber members and friends - you won't want to miss it!
