Sheri Stodghill Lecture Series 2018

The Sheri Stodghill Lecture Series (formerly called Brown Bag Lecture Series) presents programs of historical interest from noon to 1 p.m. in the third floor courtroom at the historic downtown Courthouse in Rockwall.

Lectures are free and open to the public. Guests are invited to bring a lunch to enjoy as they listen to programs that address topics related to Rockwall history.

February 9: Gone to Texas
Share the adventures (sometimes heartbreak) with the Pioneers as they travel by covered wagons to settle in our little county. Presented by Carolyn Francisco.

March 9: Farm Life
Learn about Rockwall County crops and farming and farm life from the Springer Family: Stanley Springer and daughter Shelly Springer Spearman.

April 13: Royse City History
Royse City history comes alive with tales from Delores Ballard, whose ancestors were early settlers in Royse City.

May 11: “Heathens”
Have you ever had friends who were “Heathens”? If you know anyone raised in Heath you do! Once bigger than Rockwall, Heath is rich in stories about its early history.
