Lone Star CASA serving children in Rockwall and Kaufman counties
The Speak Up For Kids CASA 5K is a series of public awareness events held across Texas to raise community awareness on the issue of child abuse and neglect, and the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) program. Lone Star CASA recruits and trains community volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children in court for Rockwall and Kaufman counties.
The Speak Up For Kids CASA 5K includes a Kids Fun Run. The 5K/Fun Run event will host numerous family-friendly activities such as: Blue Cross and Blue Shield Blue Bear and mobile unit, informational booths on CASA and child abuse, the Heart Gallery, Red Cross, American Heart Association, fitness and health, foster care, face painting, bounce house, EMS, Fire Department, and local vendors.
