Come to the Rockwall County Discovery Gardens and learn how to start your own vegetable garden.

Topics to be discussed are:

• How to transplant vegetable seedlings
• How to direct seed vegetables
• How to take a soil sample for a soil test
• Basics of Container Gardening
• Basics of setting up drip irrigation
• Introduction to attracting pollinators

Please wear clothing appropriate for garden work; no other tools are required. You will leave with: some seeds for your home garden; written instructions; contact information for follow-up help from the Rockwall County Master Gardeners; and some vegetable plant starts.

The cost is $10, to cover the cost of materials. Bring Completed Registration Form and your $10 cash or check (make payable to RCMGA) by Friday March 18, 2010 to the Rockwall County Extension Office: 1350 East Washington Soroptimist House Rockwall, TX 75087.
