Eat at Joe Willy's on Monday, February 6, anytime from 5:00-8:30 pm. Volunteers from Throwaway Ponies, a horse rescue ranch in Rockwall, will serve food, refill drinks, bus tables, and answer questions about Throwaway Ponies (TaPs). TaPs will get a percentage plus donations/table tips. Community can help by coming out to eat and by their generous donations.
ThrowAway Ponies is dedicated to changing the lives of horses and humans. We provide equine rescue services to law enforcement agencies and operate an active equine adoption program, an equine education center and offer equine-assisted therapeutic services to youths and adults.
Our goal is to save, protect, and rehabilitate horses in need and to partner therapeutic horses with humans that have emotional, behavioral and spiritual needs.
As a nonprofit rescue organization, we rely on the donations and dedicated work of volunteers to meet this challenging work. We are thankful that companies, organizations and individuals see the need and donate their time, money and services to ThrowAway Ponies. With continued support we will be able to save more horses and impact more lives.
Throwaway Ponies was started by Karen Bander and her daughter, Mary, in 2005 to provide a home to horses who were old, lame and virtually unadoptable. Visit our website and read about our current rescues, their progress and their future. Better yet, donate or volunteer today and be a part of that future!
