Rockwall Moms is open to stay-at-home moms for support and activities for themselves and children.
ACTIVITIES
Each month Moms Club of Rockwall offers a variety of activities. A typical month might include seasonal events, recipe swaps, playgroups, MOMS Night Out and Family Night Out, but we are constantly evolving based on the needs and desires of our members. Below is a sampling of some of the activities that we have had.
COFFEE BREAK: Two times a month, we get together at a kid-friendly coffee shop and just relax with a latte and chat. Some moms come after dropping children off at school or preschool, and other moms bring along their children.
OUT TO LUNCH: Once a month the moms pick a local child-friendly restaurant and go out to eat together. This is also fun for moms with kids in school during the day!
RECIPE SWAPS: Once a month, we get together and share our favorite recipes. We socialize, and find new ways to serve healthy meals our kids will actually eat! Bring your favorite dish, and a few extra copies of the recipe.
MOMS NIGHT OUT: Once a month, members get together for a night out. It could be dinner at a local restaurant, game night at a member's home, a movie, scrap booking, or anything else we think we'd enjoy. Each member is encouraged to suggest ideas for MOMS Night Out; we are always looking for fun things to do. Dads get a chance to spend some quality time with the kiddos, and moms get a chance to unwind, relax, and enjoy each other's company.
PLAYGROUPS: Our playgroups meet at times and locations designated in our monthly newsletter. Sometimes they are held in a member's home, or at public places like a park or indoor play area. All children are welcome at any playgroup, regardless of age.
STROLLER CLUB: A chance to exercise with friends! Get out of the house, walk around a local park and then rest while the children play on the playground.
PARTIES: Throughout the year, we celebrate the seasons with parties such as Spring Fling, Fall Festival, or a Couples Holiday. The parties can be held at a park, someone's home, or at our meeting hall.
POOL DAYS: One of the ways we cope with Texas' long hot summers is to spend some time by the pool. We have several area pools that are both mom and kid friendly. Come join us for a SPLASHIN' GOOD TIME!
