Public forum to be scheduled regarding issues at The Shores Country Club. Should the City get involved in managing the club?
Something needs to be done. There are dedicated employees and members at this club which has great potential under the right owners. The employees paychecks have been held for days and currently for weeks at a time and when finally issued they are hot checks. Families are suffering and are under great stress because of this. Paydays used to be every other Friday-then it went to Mondays after 5 and then to Wednesdays after 5- most recently employees are waiting on their paychecks from last payroll while the current one is due this Wednesday. I blame whoever is in charge at the Corporate Office. I do not believe that this whole mess is just “the economy” I believe that there has been embezzlement going on for months, perhaps even longer. It is ridiculous and embarrasing and someone needs to step up to the plate and help us get this great club to where it should be. Suffering any longer is not an option. Someone at Corporate is benefiting from this disaster and should be proscecuted in my opinion and held responsible for ruining lives and expectations from people who work hard and care about The Shores Country Club.
