Local Volunteer to Compete for the Title of Mrs. Texas America

Local volunteer will represent Rockwall in competing for the title of Mrs. Texas America on May 5-6, 2017, at the Palace Theater in Corsicana, TX.

Tiffany Dunkin, a committed volunteer with Lone Star CASA, was chosen to compete for the title of Mrs. Texas America from a field of applicants received throughout the area. Tiffany’s commitment to her career and strong sense of giving back to one’s community through volunteering were significant in her being chosen for the title of Mrs. Rockwall.

“My passion for becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate with Lone Star CASA stemmed from my upbringing,” says Dunkin. “My family was a foster family and all of my brothers and sisters were adopted out of foster care. I was also adopted. I grew up seeing how important it is for abused and neglected children in foster care to have a voice in the process, and I am so humbled that I get to do that for children in Rockwall and Kaufman counties.”

Tiffany and her husband, John, manage several area preschools. In addition to being a committed wife, career woman, and volunteer, Tiffany enjoys participating in community theatre and DIY projects around her home. She was recently seen in Rockwall Summer Musical’s production of Mary Poppins.

Tiffany will compete in three categories for the Mrs. Texas title: personal interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. Contestants for the Mrs. Texas Pageant must be married and live in the city or county they represent. The winner will receive a prize package worth thousands of dollars and will go on to compete for the title of Mrs. America in August in Las Vegas, NV. The Mrs. America Pageant is the only nationally televised pageant for married women in the country.
