Rockwall County’s ‘Tis Christmastime event will welcome the 2011 holiday season on Tuesday November 29 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. All are invited to join the festivities on the town square.
The historic 1940 courthouse will be decorated in period style, and the shops on the square full of seasonal cheer and gift ideas. Children can visit Santa in the court room on the third floor of the courthouse; a photographer will be ready to capture the moment, or you may take your own photos.
Carriages will depart from the east side of the courthouse, and offer a tour of the square and The Old Town Rockwall Historic District, thanks to generous sponsorship by Community Bank, Whitmore Manufacturing and The Old Town Rockwall Neighborhood Association, the cost is just $5 for each carriage rider. Tickets will be available at the event. Enjoy entertainment by local artists, and refreshments.
Rockwall families have celebrated the season with a gathering and shopping trip on the town square for over 150 years. Your family can carry on the tradition with a glimpse of Rockwall’s past, and experience the fun that new dining and shopping have brought to our town square.
