Community Education Classes

Rockwall ISD Community Education now offers classes for adults and kids. Sign up today!

Classes are being offered for adults, youth and children by Rockwall ISD. The majority of the Rockwall ISD Community Education courses are held at the newly renovated Herman E. Utley Middle School, located at 1201 T.L. Townsend Drive. For more information, please call 972-771-0605. You can register by mail or in person at 1050 Williams St, Rockwall, TX 75087. Have you ever wanted to learn how to get your groove on? Well, check out these programs coming up in November:

Rumba- a slow, enticing Latin dance. Classes are on Thursdays, November 11- December 9, 6:30-7:30. The cost is $60 a couple.

Single Swing- a single time step to dance to faster tempo swing music. Classes are Thursdays, November 11- December 9, 7:30-8:30. The cost is $60 a couple.

Foxtrot- this dance take you back to days of Big Bands and Frank Sinatra. Classes are Thursdays, November 11- December 9, 8:30-9:30. The cost is $60 a couple.

Holiday Quilting Class- Learn to make an easy holiday lap quilt. Rotary cutting experience required. Thursday, November 11, 6:00-9:00. The cost is $30.

Skills for Single Parenting- Learn how to take care of yourself and manage stress, how to communicate with the other parent, and more. November 2 & 9 from 6:30-8:00. The cost is $25.

Building Your Financial Portfolio on $25 a Month (Or Less)- Learn how to find secure investment opportunities, how to invest and much more. Thursday, November 4, 6:00-9:00. The cost is $32.

Start a Home-Based Medical Transcription Business- Have you ever wanted to start your own business? Medical Transcription is a great way to achieve this. Learn what medical transcription is, marketing your business, growing your business, and more. Tuesday, November 9, 6:30-9:30. The cost is $25.

Writing Your First Book On a Shoestring Budget- Author Bobbie Christensen teaches you how to develop and complete your manuscript in just 6 weeks. Tuesday, November 2, 6:00-7:45. The cost is $22.
