Got plans for Labor Day Weekend? QueFest is lining up the last big party of the summer!
Mark your calendar for QueFest 2011 at Firewheel Town Center in Garland, Texas. This Labor Day weekend event takes place September 3 & 4.
Music by Texas Country Star John Slaughter on Saturday, and Jason Castro, from American Idol, on Sunday. Additional acts to be announced, but we’ve heard Rockwall’s own The Neckties will be performing on Sunday! Many have seen this talented group of young performers at Fish Camp, Allure Restaurant, Cars for CASA and other local venues. Be sure to read our interview with The Neckties from 2010. These guys are kept busy and they’re going places!

Enjoy festival food, and get a head start on state fair food with Fletchers Corn Dogs! Activities for kids will keep the little ones entertained in the Children’s Area.
Gates open at 4 PM Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults. Children under 11 and active duty military will be admitted free with ID. Parking is $5.00.

About the Rowlett Exchange Club
Exchange is an all-volunteer, national service organization for men and women who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills and enjoy new friendships.
Widely known as America's Service Club, Exchange is made up of more than 800 clubs and nearly 28,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
The Exchange Club Programs of Service in Americanism, Community Service, Youth Programs and Child Abuse Prevention provide a diverse array of projects and programs with a considerable impact on America, enhancing the lives of countless men, women and children across the nation.
The Noon Exchange Club of Rowlett was chartered on September 10, 1994. The club meets at Noon on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at Spring Creek Barbeque located at 3335 N. President George Bush Turnpike (across from Firewheel Town Center).
During the school year, the 1st Thursday meeting is devoted to Youth Programs, where students from each elementary , middle and high school are recognized for outstanding achievement and citizenship. The 3rd Thursday meeting features entertaining and informative guest speakers.
