Rockwall/Heath Based Team Wins Championship in Super Series American Tourney
The Rockwall/Heath-based Texas Sports Black 9U kicked off the summer as champions of the Whataburger Little Heroes 9U Super Series American Tournament held June 6-7 in Downtown Dallas.
In a tied championship game against the Coppell Cowboys, Hayden Fichtel hit an out-of-the-park, walk-off home run to secure the win, while every member of the 10-man team displayed their trademark determination, skill and character throughout the five-game series. With a 28-9-1 season record, the team will continue on to compete in the Super Series Tournament in Waco; the USSSA State Championship Tournament in McKinney at Triple Creek; and the World Series in Flower Mound.
The boys attend Amy Parks, Shannon, Nebbie Williams and Grace Hartman schools. They love baseball!
