Rockwall Library Summer Programs!

Summer is almost here and with it comes some exciting programs at the Rockwall County Library. The theme this year is "Dig Up A Good Book!"
Children of all ages are encouraged to read and learn more about archaeology, dinosaurs, dogs, family history, and gardening. In addition to reading books, children are invited to listen to stories, enjoy programs of puppets, music, and crafts, and participate in other great events. All Summer Reading Club programs are FREE at the Rockwall County Library. Join the fun!
WHO: Children ages 2 years through 12 years may register for the reading club.
WHEN: Summer Reading Club registration begins Monday, June 6, 2011 and continues through July 23.
The 2011 Summer Reading Club ends on Saturday, August 6, 2011.
WHERE: All events will be held at the Rockwall County Library, 1215 E. Yellowjacket Lane.
KICK-OFF EVENT: Start your summer fun at the “Jurassic Jamboree” kick-off event on Monday, June 6. Come and go between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. for a good time of crafts, activities and refreshments. You can also register for the Summer Reading Club at this event. Parents: Bring your cameras for a great photo-op!
Scheduled programs include:
Storytime for Twos (ages 24 months -3 years): Mondays at 10:15 and Wednesdays at 10:15 and 11:15.
Preschool Storytime (ages 3 - 6 years): Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11:15, as well as Tuesdays at 10:15.
Family Storytime in Spanish (all ages): Thursdays at 7:00 pm
Monday Movie Mania (ages 5 & up): Mondays at 1:30 pm
Games and Gab (ages 6 & up): Wednesdays at 2:00 pm
Terrific Thursdays (ages 5 & up): Special performances which feature animals, puppet shows, magic, music and more! Thursdays at 10:15 am, 11:15 am and 1:00 pm.
Creative Kids: (pre-registered children ages 7-12): Pre-registration is required for these two events for kids who enjoy the artistic process. The program takes place on June 17th and July 15th.
