Some of Rockwall's most talented teen vocalists return home from college and treat Rockwall and Dallas to a real taste of Broadway. Audiences will enjoy exciting performances of a "Modern Day Cabaret", a musical featuring songs from newer musicals such as Rent, Elegies, Shrek The Musical, In The Heights, and Edges.
Six of the seven teens are from Rockwall, and one is from Dallas. Rachael Bower (college sophomore) is on scholarship at Pace University in New York City as an Acting Major. Trevor St. John Gilbert (college sophomore) received a scholarship at the University of Michigan in Musical Theatre. Travis McClung (college sophomore) is a Musical Theatre Major on scholarship at Pace University in NYC. Josh Miller (college freshman) is the pianist and a vocalist for the production and received a full ride scholarship to A&M Commerce for Music. Cole Ragsdale (college sophomore) is on scholarship at The Boston Conservatory in Musical Theatre. Emily Ragsdale is a promising vocalist attending Rockwall High School as a Senior and plans on majoring in Musical Theatre. Dallas teen, Lexi Henderson, is a junior at Booker T. Washington for Performing Arts in the Music Theatre cluster.
The first performance will be August 19 at 7:30 at FUMC, Rockwall. It is a free performance with an optional love offering.
The second performance will be August 22 at 8:00 pm at Excuses Extreme Cafe (3025 Main Street, Dallas TX). $10 admission fee and full cash bar available.
