Student Receives Excuse Note From Obama
When John Corpus was called on to ask a question at the President’s town hall in Green Bay, Wisconsin, he mentioned that his daughter was missing her last day of fourth grade to see the speech.
“I hope she doesn’t get in trouble,” Mr. Corpus told the president.
“Do you need me to write a note?” the President asked. President Obama then proceeded to ask the girls name, take out a pen from his pocket, rip the corner of a sheet of paper at the podium and begin writing.
As the father asked his question about the timeline for health care reform, the President stepped from the stage and delivered the note to Kennedy.
"To Kennedy's teacher- Please excuse Kennedy's absence. She's with me. Barack Obama."
