Concert by the Lake
Rockwall City Council has approved starting up the Concert by the Lake series at the Harbor Amphitheatre beginning June 18. The event, which was scheduled to commence in May, was delayed due to Coronavirus restrictions limiting crowd size at public events. The Parks and Recreation Department, which manages the concert series, is looking into the possibility of extending it to make up for cancelled concerts, but that has not yet been confirmed.
Fireworks at Harry Myers Park
The council also gave the go-ahead for the 4th of July fireworks show at Harry Myers Park. Details will be announced as plans are confirmed.
San Jacinto Plaza Live Music Series
The San Jacinto Plaza music series will operate under current crowd capacity restrictions.
July 3 Downtown Plans | TBA
The Downtown Merchants Association plans to host a “Downtown Vacation,” a community-focused event featuring food trucks and live music by the Emerald City Band. Streets will be closed off and stores will be open on July 3 from 10AM to 6PM.
Attendees at all outdoor events are urged to observe appropriate social distancing procedures to preserve each others’ health and safety.
The Parks Department would also like to stress that plans could change rapidly should there be an unexpected increase in Coronavirus infections. The public is advised to keep checking for updates as we get closer to the event times.
Baseball | Softball | RBSL
Baseball, softball, and RBSL programs will be operating under CDC guidelines, which include one parent per child permitted at practices.
Rockwall Parks Programs Remain Canceled
Senior programs at the Center remain canceled. Summer camps are still closed, and no off-site field trips are scheduled.
