Its a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play opens at Rockwall Community Playhouse on November 27, 2015. Adapted by Joe Landry from the screenplay by Frances Goodrich, Albert Hackett, Frank Capra, and Joe Swerling, this beloved American holiday classic comes to life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

RCP Director Darlene Singleton, who is a founding member of RCP, is excited to bring this new version of Its a Wonderful Life to the community. “During the weeks leading up to Christmas it has always been my favorite movie to watch and being asked to direct this classic has been a pleasure, especially since our production has a twist to what the audience might expect to see on stage,” she states.
